It has been a short, but very busy term for Year 5! We have completed a lot... There are no spellings or homework this week so have a well deserved 2 week Easter Break! We are looking forward to our "Night at the Oscars" next half term! Keep Safe! Miss Doorbar :)

On Friday, I tweeted some pictures of 5KD doing some acting during our Power of Reading sessions. I tagged the author of our class book "Cosmic" - Frank Cottrell-Boyce and guess what....? He liked our pictures! The children where very excited to see this this morning (and so was I).

Today, we had Reverend Chris visit both Year 5 classes to talk to us about his commitment to his faith and how he shows this. We have learned a lot from him today and cannot wait to compare this to other religions.

This morning, 5KD have had a focus on reading and our reading environment. First, we sorted out the books in our classroom in to categories, then we went to the school library and picked out a book we would like to read and had time to read them! We really enjoyed it!

YES! We have had a great improvement with attendance this week - our percentage is 99.1%! Much better everyone, keep up the hard work! Challenge - Maybe we could aim for 100% this week :)

Miss Doorbar and Miss Pinder's Booster classes working very hard tonight after school! Keep up the good work!

When it's wet break, what do 5KD do? - Just Dance!  Burning off some energy inside as it was rather miserable outside today!
