5KD's Blog

Hello everyone and welcome back to a new term - the last of this year! We have had a great start, catching up with the Cosmic book in writing and looking at different characters. Also, we have restated our multiplication tests which will be continuing throughout the year. Attendance: The last week before Easter holidays 5KD achieved 97% attendance which is a big improvement! Keep up the hard work guys (or even try and get it better) PE: PE will still be on Wednesday afternoons - indoor and outdoor kit will be required. Thank you for your continuing support, Miss Doorbar

It has been a short, but very busy term for Year 5! We have completed a lot... There are no spellings or homework this week so have a well deserved 2 week Easter Break! We are looking forward to our "Night at the Oscars" next half term! Keep Safe! Miss Doorbar :)

Here are 5KD doing their bit for Sport Relief 2018!

5KD's weekly attendance percentage is 95.2%. Let's try get these higher after the Easter holidays :)

5KD enjoyed their Easter craft afternoon :)

On Friday, I tweeted some pictures of 5KD doing some acting during our Power of Reading sessions. I tagged the author of our class book "Cosmic" - Frank Cottrell-Boyce and guess what....? He liked our pictures! The children where very excited to see this this morning (and so was I).

Today, we had Reverend Chris visit both Year 5 classes to talk to us about his commitment to his faith and how he shows this. We have learned a lot from him today and cannot wait to compare this to other religions.
