Spellings

This week, you have been able to look at spellings through 5PH's blog due to technical difficulties with ours, however, it is now up and running and here are the spellings (same as 5PH). The objective for this weeks spellings is: Homophones - In pairs of words opposite, nouns and -ce and verbs end -se. Advice and advise provide a useful clue as the word advise (verb) is pronounced with a /z/ sound - which could not be spelled c.  Spellings 9 to 12 are taken from the 5/6 spelling words. Advice  Advise Practice Practise Allowed  Aloud Affect Effect Bargain Bruise Category Cemetery The test will be on Friday 2nd February! :)

On Friday, I tweeted some pictures of 5KD doing some acting during our Power of Reading sessions. I tagged the author of our class book "Cosmic" - Frank Cottrell-Boyce and guess what....? He liked our pictures! The children where very excited to see this this morning (and so was I).
